Resource Buddy is designed to support educators while protecting student privacy.
We store only the minimum information needed for educators to manage their behaviour plans, and we do not store any personally identifiable student information.

What We Store
• Behaviour plans generated by the educator
• Optional student initials chosen by the educator
• Educator account information (name, email)
• No student names, photos, IDs, birthdates, or contact information
• No student accounts or profiles

Educators control all stored plans and may delete them at any time.

What We Do NOT Store
• Full student names
• Identifying student details
• Photos or media
• School records
• Sensitive or protected student data

We intentionally prevent the entry, storage, or retrieval of personally identifiable information (PII).

FERPA (United States)

Resource Buddy does not store or process personally identifiable information.
Plans may include initials, which are considered de-identified and are not PII under FERPA.
We do not access school databases or education records.

COPPA (United States)

Resource Buddy is built for educators and school staff.
We do not create accounts for children or collect information from anyone under 13.

PIPEDA & Provincial Privacy Laws (Canada)

Resource Buddy does not store identifiable student information.
Plan content and initials remain in the educator’s control and can be deleted at any time.
Educators are responsible for following local school or division policies when entering information.

Security Commitments
